Volvo Penta - a global leader in engines and power solutions – sought to reinforce its position as the premier service choice for North American stakeholders by highlighting its expanding support network and skilled engineers. Through sophisticated storytelling aligned with the demands of the field itself, this campaign transforms their technical service into a premium promise: when every second counts, world-class support is the ultimate engine for productivity.

We needed to bridge the gap between heavy-duty engineering and the peace of mind that comes with world-class care, positioning the brand as the primary choice for infrastructure partners and stakeholders who cannot afford a second of downtime.

To reflect the reliability of Volvo Penta, the adopted creative direction was sophisticated, refined, and minimal. Moving away from traditional industrial marketing, and opting for a reportage-style aesthetic instead. By utilising a black-and-white color scheme and documentary-style footage, we stripped away the noise to focus on the essential: the precision of their work and the endurance of their engines.

The campaign, titled Driven by Uptime, is centered on the tagline: Your Engine In Good Hands. We developed a visual language based on sequential imagery. By layering a scene-setter, a medium shot, and a close-up, we created a fuller narrative of the end-to-end service operation. This "layered" approach allowed us to transition seamlessly from the vast context of the industry to the specific skillset and precision of the technicians in-situ. This rhythm mimicked the constant movement and "uptime" that Volvo Penta guarantees its customers.

Our team combed through hours of existing archival footage, meticulously selecting frames that aligned with the new, high-end aesthetic. Of course not all content is ready to hand, so the team extended video or imagery, creating content to fill the gaps with the latest AI technologies, creating an authentic library of content for the project. These visuals were paired with a custom typography style designed to complement the campaign's minimalist feel, while still keeping the style aligned to Volvo’s identity. 

We produced a core creative brand video supported by five tailored cuts for specific social channels. Beyond production, we provided strategic guidance and channel planning, ensuring the content reached key stakeholders through a phased, high-impact timeline.

The campaign extended into the physical world through a suite of trade show materials. From detailed leaflets to large-scale billboards and posters, the "Driven by Uptime" visual identity was scaled to create a cohesive brand experience for future industry events.

This project was about creating a campaign that felt less like an advertisement and more like a commitment to a service. Through sophisticated art direction and strategic distribution, we successfully reinforced Volvo Penta’s position as a premium partner, proving that your engine is truly in good hands.
